Novak Djokovic is set to compete in the upcoming Paris Games, as confirmed by the Serbian Olympic Committee on Tuesday.
The Serbian committee announced that Djokovic has confirmed his participation in Paris, marking his fifth Olympic appearance.
The 37-year-old Djokovic reported that surgery on his right knee “went well.”
The tennis events for the Paris Olympics are scheduled to begin on July 27 at Roland Garros, the same venue as the French Open.
It remains uncertain whether Djokovic will be ready to play at Wimbledon, where he has secured seven of his 24 Grand Slam titles. The grass-court major kicks off on July 1.
Djokovic’s only Olympic medal to date is a bronze, which he won at his first Olympics in Beijing in 2008.
