Los Angeles Sparks rookie forward Cameron Brink suffered a torn left ACL during the team’s 79-70 defeat to the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday, the team announced.
Details about Brink’s recovery timeline will be provided by the Sparks at a later date.
Brink was carried to the locker room after slipping awkwardly while driving to the basket.

Drafted second overall by the Sparks in April, the former Stanford star has played in 15 games, averaging 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, 1.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
Brink was also selected for the USA’s 3×3 Olympic team alongside Atlanta Dream guard Rhyne Howard, TCU guard Hailey Van Lith, and former Seattle Storm forward Cierra Burdick.
The Sparks currently hold a 4-11 record, placing them 10th in the WNBA standings.
