The St. Louis Blues have submitted offer sheets to Edmonton Oilers restricted free agents Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg.
According to the details, St. Louis has extended a two-year contract offer to Holloway, valued at $2.29 million per season. For Broberg, the Blues have proposed a two-year deal with a $4.58 million annual cap hit. The Oilers now have seven days to either match these offers or receive compensation. Should Edmonton choose not to match, the team would be awarded a third-round pick for Holloway and a second-round pick for Broberg.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Blues reacquired their 2025 second-round pick from the Pittsburgh Penguins, a move that positioned them to make these offer sheets. In return, St. Louis traded their 2026 second-round pick and 2025 third-round pick, receiving a 2026 fifth-rounder as part of the deal.
The Oilers, currently $354,000 over the NHL’s $88-million salary cap as per PuckPedia, have only Holloway and Broberg left unsigned on their roster.
Dylan Holloway, selected 14th overall in the 2020 NHL Draft, recorded nine points in 38 regular-season games last season. He also contributed five goals in 25 playoff appearances, helping the Oilers reach the Stanley Cup Final.
Philip Broberg, drafted eighth overall in 2019, appeared in 12 NHL games during the regular season before stepping into a larger role in the playoffs. He played nearly 16 minutes per game across 10 postseason contests, tallying three points.
