The Indianapolis Colts will welcome back running back Jonathan Taylor as they face the Houston Texans this Sunday. Taylor has been sidelined since sustaining an ankle injury during the Colts’ Week 4 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers and has missed the last three games.
This week, Taylor returned to practice and is not listed on the final injury report prior to the game. This season, he has recorded 349 rushing yards with an average of 4.85 yards per carry, contributing four touchdowns.
Additionally, the Colts may receive further positive news ahead of their Week 8 matchup. Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner is listed as questionable due to an ankle issue. Buckner’s 21-day practice window opened earlier this week, and the Colts will need to activate him from injured reserve to rejoin the team.
Colts head coach Shane Steichen indicated that both Taylor and Buckner are “tracking very well,” according to team reporter JJ Stankevitz.
