Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is anticipated to make his return on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings after sitting out the last two weeks due to a sprained MCL, as reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Love sustained the knee injury during the closing moments of the season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, a game that also marked the NFL’s debut in Brazil. In that matchup, he completed 260 passing yards, throwing for two touchdowns and one interception, but the Packers were unable to secure a win.
In Love’s absence, the Packers managed to maintain their momentum, winning both games with Malik Willis as the starting quarterback against the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans.
This season, Love signed a four-year, $220 million extension, positioning him as the Packers’ long-term solution at quarterback. He will return to the field to face a formidable Vikings defense that is currently limiting opponents to an average of just 10 points per game.
