The Los Angeles Rams are trading linebacker Ernest Jones to the Tennessee Titans, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
The trade includes Jones and a 2026 sixth-round pick going to the Titans, while the Rams will receive a 2026 fifth-round pick in return, as reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
In the 2023 season, Jones led the Rams with 145 total tackles, including 14 for loss. He also recorded 4.5 sacks and six pass deflections over 15 games.
Before Jones’ arrival, Kenneth Murray and Jack Gibbens were projected to be the Titans’ primary off-ball linebackers. Backup Chance Campbell suffered a torn ACL in the team’s final preseason game.
The Rams’ depth chart now features Christian Rozeboom, Troy Reeder, and Omar Speights at linebacker. This trade follows reports that the Rams had given Jones permission to seek a trade over the weekend. However, Jones has stated that he did not request a trade.
