The Dallas Cowboys and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb have agreed to a four-year, $136 million contract extension, as confirmed by the team on Monday.
The extension, which places Lamb among the highest-paid non-quarterbacks in NFL history, was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Lamb’s new deal includes an average annual value of $34 million, ranking him second among non-quarterbacks, just behind Minnesota Vikings’ Justin Jefferson, who earns $35 million annually, according to Over the Cap.
Additionally, the contract features a $38 million signing bonus, the largest ever awarded to a wide receiver. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that the deal guarantees Lamb $100 million.
The 25-year-old Lamb was a standout player in the 2023 season, recording 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns on 135 receptions, leading the league in catches.
His performance earned him first-team All-Pro honors and his third consecutive Pro Bowl selection. Lamb also contributed 113 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.
Selected 17th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, Lamb has accumulated 395 receptions, 5,145 yards, and 32 touchdowns over 66 career games. Lamb had been absent from the Cowboys’ facilities and preseason activities while negotiating the new contract.
This agreement cements Lamb’s status as one of the top wide receivers in the NFL and secures his future with the Cowboys for the next several years.
