The Las Vegas Raiders have officially signed their first-round draft pick, tight end Brock Bowers, who was selected 13th overall from Georgia.
According to Spotrac, Bowers is set to earn $18.14 million over a four-year contract.
Alongside Bowers, the Raiders have also inked deals with five other drafted players: cornerback Decamerion Richardson (fourth round, Mississippi State), linebacker Tommy Eichenberg (fifth round, Ohio State), running back Dylan Laube (sixth round, New Hampshire), safety Trey Taylor (seventh round, Air Force), and cornerback M.J. Devonshire (seventh round, Pittsburgh).
Bowers, standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 243 pounds, boasts an impressive college career at Georgia, where he played in 40 games over three seasons. During this time, he amassed 175 receptions for 2,538 yards and 26 touchdowns. Bowers earned First Team All-American honors three times, becoming only the third player in Georgia’s history to achieve such recognition. Additionally, he clinched the John Mackey Award for the nation’s top tight end in both 2022 and 2023, making him the first player to win it consecutively.
In his standout 2023 season, Bowers led the Bulldogs with 56 catches for 714 yards and six touchdowns. He ranked second among tight ends nationwide in receiving yards (714) and sixth in receiving touchdowns (six). As a freshman, Bowers was named SEC Freshman of the Year after setting a school record with 13 touchdown receptions.
Hailing from Napa, Calif., Bowers attended Napa High School, where he led the team to a 7-4 record and a CIF North Coast Division II Sectional Playoff appearance in 2019. His junior season saw him accumulate 1,499 all-purpose yards and 18 total touchdowns, including 39 receptions for 1,098 receiving yards and a school-record 14 touchdowns. Bowers was highly regarded as a four-star recruit by 247Sports, Rivals.com, and ESPN.com.
