In a standout performance, Chicago Cubs pitchers Shota Imanaga, Nate Pearson, and Porter Hodge combined to throw a no-hitter against the Pittsburgh Pirates, securing a 12-0 victory at Wrigley Field.
This achievement marks the Cubs’ first no-hitter at their home ballpark since Milt Pappas’ complete-game no-hitter on September 2, 1972.
Imanaga led the charge with seven shutout innings, striking out seven and walking two on 95 pitches. Pearson took over for the eighth inning, delivering a flawless performance, while Hodge completed the game with a perfect ninth inning.
This no-hitter is the 18th in Cubs franchise history, which dates back to 1876. It is also the second combined no-hitter for the Cubs, following a four-pitcher no-hitter in 2021.
