Weston Wilson achieved the 10th cycle in Philadelphia Phillies history on Thursday in a game against the Washington Nationals. The milestone was completed with a double in the bottom of the eighth inning.
In the fourth inning, Wilson contributed a triple and a single during a five-run rally. He later added his third home run of the season in the seventh inning.
Wilson becomes the fourth player to hit for the cycle in Major League Baseball this season, joining:
– Wyatt Langford, Rangers (June 30)
– Yordan Alvarez, Astros (July 21)
– Xavier Edwards, Marlins (July 28)
– Weston Wilson, Phillies (August 15)
He is the second Phillies player to achieve this feat since 2004, following catcher J.T. Realmuto, who hit for the cycle on June 12, 2023, against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Wilson’s cycle is the first at Citizens Bank Park since David Bell accomplished the feat on June 28, 2004. Additionally, Wilson is the first rookie in Phillies franchise history to hit for the cycle.
