Ewen Ferguson secured his third European Tour victory with a decisive two-shot win at the BMW International Open on Sunday. His final round of 4-under 68 at Golfclub München Eichenried sealed the victory, marking his first win since the 2022 Qatar Masters and ISPS Handa World Invitational.
The win holds special significance for Ferguson as it guarantees him a spot in the upcoming British Open at Royal Troon, near his birthplace of Glasgow, Scotland. Reflecting on his achievement, Ferguson expressed his excitement, stating, “The Open Championship is a tournament that everyone wants to play in. I feel like I can do well there.”
Following his triumph, Ferguson will continue his journey with appearances at the Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick next week, preceding the British Open the following week.
Ferguson entered the final round tied with Jordan Smith, who finished tied for second alongside David Micheluzzi after shooting a 70.
