Kylian Mbappe netted his first Champions League goal for Real Madrid with a close-range finish, putting his new team ahead 1-0 against Stuttgart on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old has now scored four goals in his last three matches across all competitions for Real Madrid. This goal marks his third consecutive opening-match goal in the Champions League.
Mbappe becomes the 15th player in Real Madrid’s history to score on his debut in the Champions League for the club. The only other French player to achieve this was Christian Karembeu in 1998.
Real Madrid, the reigning Champions League holders, secured a 3-1 victory over the German team.
