Barcelona police have apprehended a fourth individual suspected of involvement in the stabbing of Mounir Nasraoui, the father of 17-year-old Spanish soccer star Lamine Yamal. The incident occurred near Barcelona, and Nasraoui remains hospitalized.
Authorities acknowledged the assistance of the public in locating and arresting those connected to the assault on Wednesday. Three other suspects had already been detained earlier that day.
Despite his injuries, Nasraoui shared on social media that he is “feeling better” and expressed gratitude for the support he has received.
According to the newspaper *La Vanguardia*, Nasraoui sustained multiple stab wounds during a confrontation with a group of individuals. He is currently in stable condition.
Yamal, who is a prominent player for Barcelona, participated in a regular training session with his team on Thursday. The club is set to begin its Spanish league campaign on Saturday with a match against Valencia.
In July, Spain won the European Championship, with Yamal playing a crucial role. He assisted Nico Williams’ opening goal in the final, where Spain secured a 2-1 victory over England. Yamal also scored a remarkable goal in the semifinals and was awarded the tournament’s best young player, just a day after turning 17.
