Manchester City has reached an agreement to sell Brazilian right-back Yan Couto to Borussia Dortmund. The deal includes an initial loan arrangement with the Champions League finalists, featuring a €30 million (£25.3 million) obligation for a permanent transfer.
Couto, who joined City as a 19-year-old in 2020, has yet to make an appearance for the club. His initial loan was to Girona, another team within the City Football Group, where he spent one season before embarking on two additional seasons there. He also had a stint with Portuguese side Braga during that time.
During his tenure with Girona, Couto played a crucial role in helping the La Liga team secure qualification for this season’s Champions League.
