Ryan Sessegnon has rejoined Fulham on a two-year deal following the expiration of his contract at Tottenham. The 24-year-old, who initially left Fulham for Spurs in a £25m transfer in August 2019, will stay at Craven Cottage until 2026, with an option for an additional year.
Sessegnon, a product of Fulham’s academy, experienced a challenging time at Tottenham due to recurring hamstring injuries, limiting him to 57 appearances.
“It’s amazing to be back. Emotional, as well,” said Sessegnon. “It’s where it started for me, where everything began. It will always be home for me. I think it had the feeling that it was meant to be, coming back here, so I’m delighted to get it done.”
During his first stint at Fulham, Sessegnon made 120 senior appearances, scoring 25 goals and providing 18 assists. He also spent the 2020-21 season on loan at German club Hoffenheim while at Tottenham.
Sessegnon’s return marks Fulham manager Marco Silva’s first signing of the summer. The club is also in ongoing discussions regarding a potential deal for Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe after their initial offer was turned down.
