Maximilian Ibrahimovic, the 17-year-old son of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has signed his first professional contract with AC Milan, the club where his father had two successful stints.
Maximilian is expected to join the AC Milan youth team for the upcoming season as he seeks to follow in his father’s footsteps.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who retired from football last year, is now serving as an advisor for AC Milan. During his time with the club, Ibrahimovic scored 93 goals in 163 appearances and contributed to AC Milan’s Serie A titles in 2011 and 2022.
The former Sweden international’s illustrious career includes 511 club goals and 34 trophies, including 12 league titles. He was nominated for the Ballon d’Or 11 times and remains Sweden’s all-time top scorer with 62 goals in 122 international matches.
Despite his extensive trophy collection, Ibrahimovic’s only European title was the Europa League, which he won with Manchester United in 2017.
