Chelsea confirmed the acquisition of Leicester midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall on Tuesday, in a deal reportedly valued at £30 million ($38 million, 35 million euros).
The 25-year-old has penned a six-year contract with Stamford Bridge, reuniting with former mentor Enzo Maresca, under whom he played last season.
Leicester will benefit from the transfer financially, as Dewsbury-Hall emerged from the club’s youth ranks. His departure is seen as contributing positively to the club’s adherence to the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability regulations.
During his tenure at Leicester, Dewsbury-Hall made 120 appearances and scored 17 goals, with 12 goals coming in the latest season, crucial to the club’s Premier League promotion.
