Evan Fournier, a seasoned NBA wing, is set to join Olympiacos, a prominent Greek EuroLeague team, on a two-year deal reportedly exceeding $4 million, according to sources cited by The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Fournier, who recently represented France in the Olympics, played a pivotal role in securing a silver medal for Les Bleus.
At 31, Fournier’s last NBA season saw him splitting time between the New York Knicks and the Detroit Pistons. While his role with the Knicks was limited, he averaged 7.2 points per game across 29 appearances with the Pistons.
Fournier’s NBA career spans 12 seasons, beginning with the Denver Nuggets. In 2014, he was traded to the Orlando Magic, where he spent the bulk of his career. Fournier ranks eighth in franchise history for total points scored (7,049) and ninth in games played (435).
In 2021, Fournier was traded to the Boston Celtics, where he completed the season before joining the Knicks in a sign-and-trade agreement.
Throughout his NBA career, Fournier has averaged 13.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
Fournier is the second NBA player to join Olympiacos this summer, following 2023 EuroLeague MVP Sasha Vezenkov, who was acquired by the Toronto Raptors in July.
