The Golden State Warriors and Stephen Curry have finalized a one-year, $62.6 million extension, securing his contract through the 2026-27 season, as confirmed by his agent to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
This extension represents the longest deal the Warriors could offer the four-time NBA champion, according to ESPN’s Bobby Marks.
Over the next three years, Curry is set to receive a guaranteed $178 million, Wojnarowski reports.
In July, Golden State Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. expressed confidence about extending Curry’s contract this summer. “That guy can get whatever he wants. … I think that stuff will get figured out, and he’ll be a Warrior for life,” Dunleavy said.
Curry recently delivered a standout performance at the Olympics, scoring 36 points in Team USA’s semifinal victory over Serbia and contributing 24 points in the gold-medal game against France.
Last season, Curry averaged 26.4 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.5 rebounds over 74 games. He also earned his 10th career All-Star selection and was named Clutch Player of the Year.
Drafted by Golden State as the No. 7 overall pick in 2009, Curry has spent his entire career with the Warriors. He holds the record for the most career three-pointers in NBA history and was named to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team in 2021.
