New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson sustained a broken left hand during the team’s Game 7 loss to the Indiana Pacers, as confirmed by the Knicks’ official announcement.
Brunson, 27, had contributed 17 points on 6-of-17 shooting from the field before his exit. At the time of his departure, the Pacers held a commanding double-digit lead.
Throughout the postseason, Brunson had been a pivotal scorer for the Knicks, averaging 33.7 points across 12 playoff appearances. Notably, he tallied 40 or more points in five separate games.
Adding to the Knicks’ woes, forward OG Anunoby exited Game 7 after just four minutes due to a hamstring injury, which had previously sidelined him for four games.
Key players Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, and Bojan Bogdanovic were already ruled out for the remainder of the playoffs due to various injuries, further depleting the Knicks’ roster. Guard Josh Hart also grappled with an abdominal injury sustained in Game 6 of the series.
