Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry will be sidelined for at least the next two games due to a left ankle sprain, as confirmed by the team on Monday. An MRI revealed no structural damage to the ankle.
Curry is set to be re-evaluated on Friday ahead of the Warriors’ upcoming five-game road trip. The team will face the New Orleans Pelicans at home on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The injury occurred during Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers, where the Warriors lost 112-104. Curry appeared to sustain the injury late in the third quarter and briefly returned for the fourth quarter before aggravating the issue, ultimately leaving the game with 7:55 remaining.
So far this season, Curry is averaging 18.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.7 assists in his 18th year in the NBA. The Warriors hold a record of 2-1 at the start of the season.
