Indiana Fever point guard Caitlin Clark has been named to the first-team All-WNBA, capping off her remarkable rookie season. The league announced her selection on Wednesday, making Clark the first rookie to achieve this honor since Candace Parker in 2008. Clark, who was also named Rookie of the Year, joins a select group of rookies to receive first-team recognition, including Sue Bird (2002), Tamika Catchings (2002), and Diana Taurasi (2004).
The unanimous first-team selections were Las Vegas Aces forward A’ja Wilson and Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier. New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart and Connecticut Sun forward Alyssa Thomas round out the top five, all of whom finished in the same order as the MVP voting, which Wilson won.
Clark received 52 first-team votes from a panel of 67 sportswriters and broadcasters, earning 302 points overall. She averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game, leading the league with 122 3-pointers, the second-highest total in a single regular season. Clark also helped the Fever reach the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
A’ja Wilson, the unanimous MVP, led the league with 26.9 points per game and ranked second in rebounds (11.9) and first in blocks (2.58 per game). Collier, the Defensive Player of the Year, averaged 20.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 1.91 steals per game. Both Wilson and Collier were selected to every first-team ballot, each earning 335 points. Wilson has now been a first-team selection for four seasons, while Collier secured her second first-team selection.
Breanna Stewart received 331 points, missing unanimous first-team selection by two votes. She averaged 20.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game, marking her sixth first-team selection in seven years. Alyssa Thomas earned 255 points, collecting 39 first-place votes, and led the league with three triple-doubles this season, bringing her career total to 11.
On the second team, Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu headlined the group with 204 points, followed by Kahleah Copper (167 points), Nneka Ogwumike (154 points), Arike Ogunbowale (107 points), and Jonquel Jones (102 points).
Each first-team member will receive a $10,300 bonus, while second-team players will receive $5,150.
