Erling Haaland scored his 100th goal for Manchester City in his 105th appearance on Sunday during the Premier League match against Arsenal. This achievement ties him with Cristiano Ronaldo as the fastest player to reach 100 goals for a single club in the 21st century.
Haaland broke through Arsenal’s defense to open the scoring after receiving a precise pass from Savinho and slotting the ball past goalkeeper David Raya.
With this goal, Haaland now has 10 goals in five Premier League games this season.
However, Manchester City’s lead didn’t last long. Arsenal’s Riccardo Calafiori, making his full Premier League debut, equalized in the 22nd minute with a powerful left-footed shot.
Arsenal then took the lead when Gabriel Magalhaes scored, but a second yellow card for Leandro Trossard reduced Arsenal to 10 men. Manchester City’s substitute John Stones scored in the 98th minute, leveling the match at 2-2 and denying Arsenal a win.
