The Minnesota Vikings will be without wide receiver Jordan Addison for their Week 2 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Addison has been ruled out due to an ankle injury, which has kept him from practicing throughout the week. The injury occurred during the Vikings’ recent victory over the New York Giants.
In his rookie season last year, Addison made a significant impact with 70 receptions for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns.
With Addison sidelined, Jalen Nailor and Trishton Jackson are expected to see increased targets behind Justin Jefferson. Nailor scored a 21-yard touchdown in Week 1.
Jackson, who did not play last week, was highlighted by head coach Kevin O’Connell on Friday. O’Connell stated, “He had a great camp. We’ve got a lot of confidence in him to fill in any one of those three (WR) spots,” according to Ben Goessling of The Minnesota Star Tribune.
