Veteran cornerback Stephon Gilmore has signed a one-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings worth up to $10 million, according to his agent, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The deal includes $7 million in guaranteed money.
Gilmore, who visited the NFC North team earlier this month, will add experience to the Vikings’ secondary, joining Byron Murphy Jr. and Shaq Griffin, among others.
The 33-year-old cornerback spent the previous season with the Dallas Cowboys, where he started all 17 games, recording two interceptions and 13 passes defended.
Minnesota will be Gilmore’s fourth team in as many years, following one-year stints with the Cowboys (2023), Indianapolis Colts (2022), and Carolina Panthers (2021).
A former first-round pick, Gilmore began his career with the Buffalo Bills but achieved notable success with the New England Patriots. He was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 while with the Patriots, after leading the league with six interceptions.
