Bologna FC has confirmed the signing of Dutch forward Thijs Dallinga from Toulouse, the Serie A club announced on Tuesday.
The transfer fee for Dallinga is reported to be 15 million euros ($16.3 million). He will replace his compatriot Joshua Zirkzee, who recently moved to Manchester United.
The 23-year-old Dallinga, who has one cap for the Netherlands, had a notable stint at Toulouse in Ligue 1. Over the past two seasons, he scored 37 goals across all competitions, including two goals in Toulouse’s French Cup final win last year.
This victory in the French Cup marked Toulouse’s first major title since the club’s establishment in 1970.
Bologna will begin their new season under coach Vincenzo Italiano, with their debut in the modern Champions League scheduled for August 18 against Udinese.
