The Cleveland Browns and wide receiver Amari Cooper have agreed to a restructured one-year deal, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Cooper’s new deal guarantees his $20-million base salary, with half being paid upfront, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Additionally, Cooper can earn up to $5 million in incentives.
The 30-year-old wide receiver, who skipped mandatory minicamp while seeking a new contract, has reported for the start of training camp. Cooper will become a free agent following the 2024 season.
Cleveland acquired Cooper from the Dallas Cowboys in 2022 in exchange for a fifth-round selection and a sixth-round pick swap. He initially signed a five-year, $100-million contract with Dallas in 2020.
Since joining the Browns, the Alabama product has played 32 games, recording 150 catches for 2,410 yards and 14 touchdowns.
