The Chicago Bears are finalizing a four-year, fully guaranteed contract with Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, sources confirmed to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Williams’ rookie deal includes a substantial $25.5-million signing bonus.
At 22 years old, Williams, the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner from USC, amassed 93 touchdowns over two seasons with the Trojans.
Known for his strong arm and ability to improvise, Williams joins a Bears team that hasn’t won a playoff game since 2010. Chicago also holds the distinction of never having a quarterback throw for 4,000 yards in a single season.
Alongside Williams, the Bears also inked a rookie contract with wide receiver Rome Odunze, their top-10 pick in the draft.
