Adrian Wilson, a former star safety for the Arizona Cardinals and a former executive for the Carolina Panthers, was arrested on June 1 in Arizona on charges of assault, property damage, and disorderly conduct, as reported by the Scottsdale Police Department.
The police department’s statement on Tuesday indicated that all charges against the 44-year-old Wilson are misdemeanors related to domestic violence. However, the statement did not include specific details about the incident leading to Wilson’s arrest.
Wilson, a five-time Pro Bowl selection, had a notable 12-year career with the Cardinals from 2001 to 2012. He transitioned to the Cardinals’ front office in 2015, starting as a regional scout and later becoming the director of pro scouting in 2019.
In 2023, Wilson joined the Carolina Panthers as vice president of player personnel. However, the Panthers announced this week that Wilson is no longer with the organization.
“Adrian Wilson will not continue in his position as Vice President of Player Personnel for the Carolina Panthers,” a team spokesman said in a statement. “Consistent with our organizational policy on employee matters, we will have no further comment.”
